Won’t You Be My Neighbor?
HELLO! My goal has been to publish one blog post every month and well, it’s a good thing I’m my own boss or else I’d be fired! Life has been full and business has been busier than ever. It’s been a while since I sat down to share what’s on my heart - and today I have an exciting update!
A few months ago, I was asked to be the contributing photographer for the Willoughby Neighbors and Mentor Living Magazines! If you live in either one of these wonderful cities, then you likely receive this publication. Each month, they feature a family as a way to “get to know” your neighbors — which I love. This November issue is extra special, because my family & I had the honor of being featured. Lord knows, taking your own family photos is it’s own kind of crazy, but doing it when the stakes are high, really tested my skills as a parent, photographer, and human being - LOL.
The best part about this opportunity, has been connecting with incredible families in my own community. Having grown up in Mentor and now raising a family in Willoughby, it just makes me burst with happiness that I have the privilege of deepening my connection to both of these special places. I love living in a city where I know the librarian by name; where the sweet lady at the coffee shop knows my order and how my son likes his donuts; where I can sit in the park and watch the world go by; where the church bells ring to tell me the time. Whether it’s the huddling together at the Christmas tree lighting, strolling around the farmers market, or just a regular day pushing a stroller to the post office - I have countless “pinch me” moments where I just feel lucky to live in a community like Willoughby.
Now - here’s more exciting news! If you live in the 44094 or 44060 zip code and would like to have your family photos taken for FREE by ME, we’d love to meet you! Message me if you would like to be selected to be featured in an upcoming issue!
Like I said, life has been full and I couldn’t be more grateful. Below is a little peek and what we’ve been up to lately. Looking forward to slowing down a little this winter and maybe even hibernating a little myself. As always, thank you for being here and Happy Thanksgiving!
